Acai bowls at the Better World juice bar: 4 blends worth the spoon
There’s a reason the acai bowl has become a warm-weather ritual in Milford. Blended thick and cold, topped by hand, and built to actually keep you full, it’s the rare treat that feels like a reward and a real meal at the same time. At the Better World juice bar we start every smoothie bowl with frozen fruit and our house-made oat milk, then layer on toppings that earn their place. Each is contains all natural ingredients with no added sugar. Here are the four bowl options we’re most proud of.
The Acai Bowl
Our signature blend, and the one to order if you're new to bowls. Unsweetened acai gets blended with banana, blueberries, mango and raspberries, with a little fresh mint to keep it bright. We top it by hand with gluten-free granola, cacao nibs, toasted coconut, fresh strawberries and kiwi. Cool, colorful and just sweet enough from the fruit alone.
The PB Protein Bowl
Our most filling option and a favorite with anyone coming off a workout or a long trail day in the Delaware Water Gap. Blended banana, date and creamy peanut butter meets chocolatey cacao, then gets a boost of pumpkin-seed protein. We finish it with granola, fresh strawberries, a drizzle of peanut butter and a scatter of cacao nibs for crunch.
The Coconut Creme Bowl
Dessert energy without the sugar crash. This one leans tropical: young coconut flesh and banana blended with coconut yoghurt and vanilla bean for a smooth, creamy base, topped with toasted coconut flakes, granola, fresh strawberries, kiwi rings and cacao nibs. It’s the bowl regulars order when they want something that tastes like a splurge.
The Golden Bowl
Our anti-inflammatory bowl, built around the same golden turmeric blend that made our golden milk latte a menu favorite. Peach, banana and mango are blended with turmeric, ginger and a touch of black pepper, then topped with strawberries, flax seeds, granola and a drizzle of local honey. Bright, warming and a little bit different.
